TokyTokinz & Marketplaces

TTZ (TokyTokinz) is Tokyube's account-wide currency, and the marketplaces are where you spend it — skins, wigz, capes and wearables, all previewed on your own avatar before you buy.

Overview

Two marketplace hubs live on the title screen:

  • TOKYTAR SKINS — full avatar skins, in two families: One Mesh PBR skins and classic 4-mesh per-part texture skins.
  • TOKYTAR ACCESSORIES — Wigz, Capez and Wearz today, with Glovez, Maskz and Kix on deck.

Your TTZ balance shows at the top of every marketplace and in the Wallet app. Purchases are tied to your account and follow you across machines.

What Is TTZ

TTZ is a cloud-ledgered currency: balances and transactions are recorded server-side against your account (keyed by your Steam ID), so they can't be edited by touching local files. One ledger, every marketplace, every world. Everything purchasable is cosmetic — skins, hair, capes, hats.

Your Wallet

The Wallet app on the TokyPhone shows your current balance and transaction history. The same balance appears live in every marketplace header.

Earning TTZ

During the alpha, TTZ arrives through grants and events — drops from the Tokyube team, community events and promos. A full earn-and-purchase loop is on the roadmap.

The Marketplaces

Every marketplace shares the same shape: category tabs across the top, a sliding shelf of items, and live previews rendered on your actual avatar (wigs, wearz and capes render on your character, not a mannequin). Categories:

  • SHOP — the featured, cycling storefront.
  • FREE — free items, yours with a click.
  • PAID — the TTZ catalog.
  • DAILY — three rotating daily picks.
  • MONTHLY — the month's featured item.
  • ANIMATED — frame-animated skins.
  • FREE DAILY — a free item that rotates daily.
  • UGC MADE — community-made items with creator credits.

TokyTar Skins

  • One Mesh PBR Skins — a single full-body mesh with PBR materials (metallic, roughness, normal, emissive). The catalog includes dozens of first-party PBR avatars plus DLC series like the Kimono pack.
  • 4 Mesh Per Part Texture Skins — the classic head / body / arms format, fully compatible with TokyTar Stylizer exports.
  • Custom PBR slots — five personal slots in the Skins app where you upload your own maps and mesh. Your custom work, your avatar.

Skins equip by mesh-swap, sync to other players in multiplayer, and show on your title-screen avatar.

Wigz

Baked hair meshes previewed on your avatar: free styles (anime, medium-bun, long-shaggy), premium styles (emo, box-braids, mohawk, spiked and more, typically 500 TTZ), plus a colorful free-daily wig. Every wig supports PBR or a fully custom hair color, persists on your account, and is networked in multiplayer — your hair is your hair, in every world.

Capez

Procedurally animated capes — textured designs on the shared cape mesh, swaying as you move. Capes are persistent, networked, and credited to their creators on every listing. Equip from the Capes app.

Wearz

Hats and head wearables with their own rainbow shop — bucket hats (800 TTZ), Biggie's Fedora, and a growing lineup — all with on-avatar previews and their own TokyPhone app.

Coming Soon

The Accessories hub already reserves shelves for Glovez (gloves), Maskz (masks) and Kix (shoes).

Daily & Monthly Rotations

Rotations are deterministic and fair: the DAILY shelf picks three items per day and the MONTHLY shelf features one item per month, both from seeded rotations — every player sees the same picks on the same day, and the cycle covers the whole pool before repeating.

Creators & UGC

Every skin and cape carries a creator label, and the UGC MADE section features community skins from Tokyube creators. Tokyube team members carry the Internal badge on TokySocial, and creator profiles can link out with up to three clickable links.

Cross-World Values (PPV)

Not everything valuable is cosmetic. Per-player persistent variables let worlds define values that follow the player across worlds — the casino's chips and the Card Crazy Lounge's card-game stats share one cross-world variable group, so your winnings travel with you. Inspect yours in the TPPV app; script them with the PPV code blocks.

Roadmap

  • TTZ purchase flow and a fuller earn loop.
  • Creator publishing with payouts for UGC skins, capes and scripts.
  • Tipping and player-to-player transfers.
  • Glovez, Maskz and Kix shelves opening.
Everything in this section is planned, not shipped — the rest of this page documents systems that are live today.
